This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated speciality docto r to join our Trauma & Orthopaedics team, based at Dorset County Hospital .

Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council.

To provide inpatient and outpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic services and to provide additional support to the lower limb arthroplasty services

To be part of a Multidisciplinary Team, which include Consultants in Anaesthetics and Rheumatology (pain service), Radiology, Pathology and Elderly Care, nursing staff, physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

To contribute to the training of Higher and Basic Surgical Trainees and other professional team members.

To ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of patient care.

To fulfil continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance.

To develop special interests to enhance what is currently... undertaken in the department.

To participate in audit and other areas of Directorate responsibility.

To participate in audit and other areas of the Care Group responsibility.

To attend and actively participate in monthly education meetings.
