An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Diabetes Dietitian to join SFH young adult diabetes service.
There is opportunity for Hybrid working, offering virtual appointments to accommodate flexibility for our service users, providing dietetic input in MDT young adult clinics and transitional clinics across both Kings Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital, as well as additional young adult dietetic clinics held at Kings Mill Hospital.
You will have the opportunity to develop and facilitate a tailored structured education course for the young adult cohort, focusing on carbohydrate counting and nutritional education to empower service users in their diabetes management. Knowledge of insulin pump therapy is desired but not essential, as training will be... provided. There will be opportunities to develop the role further to support within the insulin pump therapy pathway.
You would be working alongside a passionate and knowledgeable Diabetes Specialist Nurse, Psychologist, and Diabetes Consultant within the young adult MDT. You will also be a member of the trust’s Diabetes Dietitians and wider dietitian team.
