A UK leading Community Centered Social Organisation are seeking a Lead Ruby Engineer to take ownership of a small, lean and high performing Ruby team. You will take responsibility of the backend system architecture, guiding these discussions and leading the way when it comes to the technical implementation with Ruby. As their Lead Ruby Engineer, you will be involved in the code on a day-to-day basis, driving engineering best practises and working closely with Product to ensure there is clear communication and alignment between the business, product and engineering objectives.
As Lead Ruby Engineer, you will be expected to have experience with:
Ruby/Ruby on Rails
AWS, Kubernetes and Docker
Ability to provide line management and hands-on technical leadership.
Commercial experience building products with Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
Advocate of engineering best practises when it comes to development... security and accessibility.
Ability to lead the technical designs and software architecture.
