Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and effective communication skills to ensure timely deliveries.

Van Type: 3.5t Tipper with waste collection body.

Van will be picked up from our yard in Bentwood, Essex in the mornings and dropped back after the days work.

Responsibilities
• Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers... regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while on the road.

Experience
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• A valid commercial driving licence is essential for this position.
• Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are required to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment can be beneficial for understanding logistics operations.
