CGR is an engineering consultancy specialising in the planning, design and development of world class port and harbour facilities and associated infrastructure, in particular related to container terminals.
The candidate for this role will be based at CGR's head office in Kingston-upon-Thames.
Job Description
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers to help deliver engineering services in the port and harbour sector. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the design of water systems, including the design of potable water and firewater systems (sea water, storage and freshwater) both in the UK and internationally.
The candidate should have experience in the design of water distribution networks, pumps, storage systems and associated control systems.
The Role Includes The Need To
• Prepare reports, specifications and design reports in line with company quality assurance procedures and client requirements as well as... applicable standards and codes of practice.
• Support in contract administration by reviewing design submissions to ensure compliance with local codes and standards and client requirements.
Skills Required
• Knowledge of industry standards software such as WaterGEMS/ WaterCAD is desirable
• Ideally degree qualified however industry accredited candidates such as project engineers of DNO engineers/ designers will also be considered
• The ability to work and communicate effectively with senior staff members
• Flexible in their approach to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas (subject to COVID-19 restrictions)
• Drivers license/passport
