Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimising our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security across the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer networking and demonstrate proficiency in various networking protocols and technologies.
Duties
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
• Manage network security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support telecommunication needs and enhance overall network efficiency.
• Configure and manage routing protocols such as OSPF, ensuring reliable data flow across the network.
• Administer... directory services using LDAP for user authentication and access control.
• Monitor network performance metrics, providing regular reports to management on system health.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies for future reference.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or changes as necessary.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of computer networking principles.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking protocols, including TCP, SQL, and vSphere environments.
• Familiarity with openSUSE operating systems is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
