Job Descrption
MTR Elizabeth line’s Finance team are looking to appoint a professional and diligent Quality Manager on a full-time permanent basis to hold overall responsibility for the design, implementation, and continual development of the MTR Elizabeth line Quality Management System.
Note, this role is also being offered on a part-time/job share basis should this be a better fit for the right applicant.
Reporting directly into the Head of Business Excellence, the post-holder will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing management of key aspects of the system – including managing awareness of any issues raised by the management system and effectively communicating these concerns to the relevant leadership team as a point of escalation.
Diligence and attention-to-detail will be vital as you ensure best-in-class document control, both directly and through concise training of other document controllers, as well as managing any non-conformities.
Continuous improvement will be a key focus area... for the post-holder as you identify any opportunities to refine our strategy based on audit findings and trends. As such, you will need to be a keen problem-solver with the ability to interpret situations from various angles and find creative but workable solutions.

Person Specification and Practical Experience
To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of document control, preferably gained within a customer service-based occupation, rail or transport industry
Good working knowledge of all aspects of business with an understanding of functional responsibilities and roles, specifically regarding documentation control
Demonstrated ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and within external organisations
Good IT skills in Microsoft Office based applications
Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and able to set and achieve demanding targets and objectives, and report upon them
