Job Description

Overview:

We are looking to hire a Business Solutions Manager, who will be a key liaison to NBCU's International TV Businesses;  managing the engagement, analysis and project oversight, ensuring deliverables are aligned to both business need and technology strategy.

The Technology Solutions Group are responsible for implementing opportunities or changes to existing services across the International landscape, with focus on IT initiatives for TV Groups, the team shape initiatives through engagement and business process support then deliver projects leveraging Enterprise IT resources and services within an existing robust project governance framework.

Initiatives focus on understanding both back office, financial and production operations - for digitizing existing processes & measuring operational efficiency, revenue generation & productivity improvements through technology change.  A focus on Cloud SAAS / CRM specifically Salesforce service is key due to the footprint of Salesforce across the TV groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of the Technology Solution Team within the Operations and Technology Group.
• Direct technology point of contact for TV business applications.
• Manage owned business applications and oversee technology system operations for the areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for understanding, reviewing, analysing and evaluating business partner needs.
• Recommends solutions and ensures business needs are met.  This role is critical in decision-making as it gathers detailed requirements from our business counterparts. The role is also very strategic as it is a customer-facing function where the relationship with the business is critical.
• Responsible for capturing processes & requirements based on business objectives and requests.
• Focus on Salesforce, Microsoft365, TV Production Technology Solutions,  business process mapping, requirements gathering. 
• Ultimately responsible for validating new requirements of business systems to pass to development teams. The business solutions manager will also meet with the business to communicate status, schedules, open items and target dates.  
• Work with Domestic (US) Product, Engineering, Cyber and Technology teams to drive solution design and prioritise configuration & development tickets.
• Work with Stakeholders to understand their requirements so that you can ensure the resulting technical solutions deliver on business objectives.
• Maintain / contribute to documentation including but not limited to; User Guides, Options Analysis, BRDs, status reporting and Project Charters.
• Serve as the escalation point for the day-to-day operational activities across the landscape of applications utilized by the business.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years previous relevant work experience in one of the following areas: overseeing projects, business analysis or business engagement.
• Analytical/strategic thinker and creative problem-solver; resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity.
• Demonstrated track record of developing strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
• Project management skills and understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical and business concepts with leadership teams, technical developers, and end-users.
• Extremely organized, great attention to detail, and highly motivated.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional user requirements with a strong knowledge of structured IT analysis methodologies.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
• Experience in Media & Entertainment industry, preferable, but not essential.
