Job Description

37.5 Hours per week. Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. 

Purpose of The Post: 

To act as an interface between the sales team, the end customer and the laboratory in the reporting and interpretation of test reports in the relevant Product Testing Categories. 

Main Duties:

• Understand testing processes and how these principles can be applied to the relevant legislation.
• Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
• To support the sales team in the delivery of customers’ needs and requirements.
• Keep up to date with current techniques, topics and legislation to advise Eurofins and its customers on accurate implementation of their requirements.
• To create and maintain appropriate report templates as legislations and standards change.
• To assist the laboratory in applying the best practice and interpretation of results.
• To report and communicate results to Eurofins clients.
• Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to achieve accuracy, reliability, and repeatability of test results.
• To generate client specific reports with conclusions with a high level of quality and technical competence.
• To support the laboratory when requested in carrying out testing where appropriate training is in place
• To understand the costing information contained within the LIMS system and on the jobs assigned and react when something does not look correct.
• To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the company standard.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office and Eurofins specific systems including ComLIMS, eLIMS and EOL online services.
• To support the work tracking systems of the department by promptly completing the relevant Excel Documents.

Qualifications

Essential

• Degree in related scientific subject or practical work experience.
• Understanding of chemistry and/or consumer product manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of good lab practice and good clinical practice.
• Understanding of consumer products and quality/performance.
• Experience using Microsoft office and/or LIMS.
• Effective communication skills both written and oral.
• High level of attention to detail.
• To be able to communicate highly technical material to different levels within the business and to gain the confidence of the client.
• Be able to prioritise when given multiple tasks at one given time.

Desirable

• Practical knowledge of product testing operations.
• Practical knowledge of commercial laboratory operations.
• Practical experience within a product testing industry environment.
• Knowledge of the relevant Product Testing Regulations and Directives such as Cosmetics, Detergents, CLP)
