Job Description
Join our growing team as a Senior Program Manager and become a driving force in our mission to achieve our goals of simplifying our content & media technology estate while enhancing the business results from our technology. We're seeking a skilled professional who thrives in complex, dynamic environments and possesses a proven track record of success in program management. As a key member within our organization, you'll be instrumental in shaping and executing strategic programs that align with our vision and objectives.
You will be accountable for delivering programs and specific projects with a cross-functional global team of internal and vendor resources. You will have a focus on the delivery plan, quality and cost of the projects and Programs.
Leadership:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with our objectives, ensuring that program initiatives support the overall mission and vision of Informa and its divisions.
- Program Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Project Leadership: Work as a project manager on critical, high-visibility projects

Communication and Team Development:
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage with senior executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders, providing clear communication on program/portfolio status, risks, and benefits to inform decision-making, while proactively managing stakeholder expectations and addressing concerns promptly.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing transparent updates on program status, milestones, and risks.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop Project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth within the organization.
Operational Excellence:
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and tools, to optimize program performance and meet objectives within established constraints.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor program progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a focus on quality throughout the program lifecycle, implementing best practices, standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure successful program delivery.
- Process creation: Be able to create new processes and pinpoint process gaps in order to establish, document, and implement the necessary governance and structure.
Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing process improvement initiatives by evaluating program effectiveness, soliciting feedback from stakeholders, and implementing enhancements to optimize outcomes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience leading and managing portfolios/programmes within the technology industry.
- Strong verbal and written language communication skills
- Proven track record of delivering successful technology projects and programmes
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive changes.
- Extensive knowledge and ability to train others in Project management tools and techniques
- A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is desirable but not required.
- Certifications such as PMP are advantageous.
