The Seatrade Portfolio of events stretches across the globe, with its flagship event in Miami, alongside the recently launched F&B@Sea, the biannual editions of Seatrade Cruise MED and Europe and the portfolios return to Asia after a 4-year hiatus at the end of 2023. As well as the established events schedule, the portfolio also includes an industry leading news site and quarterly publication.
The Design Portfolio consists of the UK Leading Interior Design show for professionals – Decorex, along the key event for the retail kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry – kbb Birmingham.
Both events and portfolios have a strong online community with thousands of followers across their social platform with strong engagement from key influencers across all industries.
Working in partnerships with the wider marketing and digital teams, the Social & Community Executive’s primary focus will be to continue to cultivate and grow these online communities, owning and managing the social channels to help the events achieve their OKR’s and Business goals, ensuring these brands remain the leading authorities of their industries will continue to innovate and test, using data to drive decisions and strategies.
Job Description
Social Media
Overall responsibility for growing social channel audience and audience engagement
Daily management of social accounts for events and news site across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin
Lead testing campaigns on new to market channels including Pinterest and Tiktok
Plan and execute the organic social media schedule across all social channels for events and products
Report monthly on performance of social channels against OKR’s set
Complete regular sector social listening alongside keyword research and search volumes to feed into social strategy and feedback on sentiment
Support digital marketing executives and Marketing leads with paid for social campaigns
Plan customer journey, feeding into advert landing page design and content
Plan and execute testing campaigns across channels
Devise and manage onsite social and content plans
Advocacy
Overall responsible for engaging with advocates through Gleanin / InGo across the channels to encourage higher engagement / advocacy rates
Plan and co-ordinate co-marketing campaigns across social with speakers, ambassadors and industry influencers
Support marketing leads in visitor advocacy campaigns
Identify influencers + incorporate them in social strategy
Partnerships & Content
Devise organic lead gen campaigns to grow 1st party data collaborating with event, sales and brand marketing team
Re-purpose content from news platforms and reports generated by event and marketing teams
In addition to re-purposing content from media partners, where relevant
Report on campaign measurement for post event reports and present to team
Collaborate with marketing team to delivery social media aspects of media partnerships
Ideas and Innovations
Ensure best practice is consistent across channels
Keep up to date on latest platform algorithm changes and innovations and amend campaigns as needed
Explore AI opportunities across social channels
Working with designers, manage artwork production for social posts and content
