Senior Content Marketing Manager (6 months contract)

THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to lead our dynamic content marketing team.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of content marketing as a strategic goal within the broader 360 event marketing. With a proven track record in team leadership and strategic planning, the Senior Content Marketing Manager will drive innovative campaigns aimed at audience engagement, lead generation, and brand credibility.
This role requires a strategic leader who can make impactful decisions, manage budgets, and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key performance indicators
Lead the content marketing team to achieve the following objectives:
- Increase event website traffic through content to enhance new readership.
- Attract new data points via engaging content to expand audiences.
- Drive targeted content campaigns to bring high-value audiences to events such as conferences and talks.
- Grow marketable audience throughout the year and increase retention to foster year-round customer engagement.
- Generate new leads through content collaboration with the Commercial marketing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Management:
- Develop content marketing strategies aligned with business and portfolio objectives.
- Lead the content marketing team and editorial freelancers
- Manage budget allocation and stakeholder engagement effectively.
- Implement agile methodologies to enhance adaptability and operational efficiency.
Lead Generation:
- Implement gated content strategies to capture leads effectively.
- Leverage content distribution channels to broaden reach and attract leads.
- Develop and implement lead nurturing workflows to guide leads through the sales and marketing funnel with personalised content based on their interests and behavior.
Analysis and Insight:
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of content to optimise efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue generation.
- Utilise data from internal databases, market data, and third-party insights to develop content topics and themes, positioning brands as thought leaders.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of consumer segments, preferences, and behaviors to deliver loyalty-building content that drives business expansion.
Audience & Content Optimization:
- Drive audience research initiatives to personalize content and refine targeting strategies.
- Utilise advanced SEO techniques, analytics tools, and audience insights to optimise content performance.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous testing and optimisation to maximise ROI and innovation
Brand Management & Community Building:
- Lead the growth and development of engaged audience communities within the portfolio.
- Establish a cohesive brand identity, encompassing messaging and tone of voice to ensure consistency across all communications and touchpoints.
- Create valuable and relevant content that resonates with the target audience, positioning the brand as an authoritative voice in the industry.

- Content Marketing: Ability to drive results and possess a strategic mindset in content strategy development.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficient in leveraging analytical skills to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Leadership & Management: Experienced in budget management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Marketing Platforms: Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (preferably Eloqua) and analytics tools (Google Analytics/Adobe).
- Strong Copywriting Skills: Proficient in crafting compelling and persuasive copy that resonates with the target audience, drives engagement, and communicates key messages effectively.
- Deadline and Target-Driven: Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding targets through effective time management, prioritization, and focus on results.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Project Management: Skilled in effectively managing diverse portfolios and leading team specialists within dynamic environments.
