Job Description

The Role

Are you great at building relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience? Do you want to take a key role in tackling climate change and shaping the future of hydrogen in the UK?

Hydrogen UK is the largest hydrogen industry trade body operating in the UK and is at the heart of the debate on the role of hydrogen in the energy transition. Hydrogen UK has been instrumental in the development of the strategies and policy frameworks that will enable hydrogen to scale over the next decade.

We are looking to recruit a new Hydrogen UK Events Coordinator. The successful applicant will be instrumental in delivering our Annual Conference and Awards which is the biggest hydrogen event in the UK, welcoming over 650 delegates, delivering an exhibition and a prestigious Awards Dinner. They will also work with the Hydrogen UK Team to ensure that our members get the highest quality experience. The Events Coordinator will report to the Membership Manager and will also support onboarding new members and supporting existing members.


Responsibilities

  • Supporting the organisation of the Hydrogen UK Annual Conference and Awards
  • Coordinating with exhibitors, sponsors, venues, suppliers, and speakers
  • Working closely with HUK Membership Manager to support Hydrogen UK’s ambitious membership growth strategy
  • Managing and updating the CRM
  • Providing excellent service to new and prospective members.
  • Support the acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding of new members to ensure a smooth, welcoming, and informative introduction to the organisation.

Qualifications

Requirements

Knowledge and skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a range of member stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Interest in climate change, energy, and the role of hydrogen in the energy transition is desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills and be confidence at liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including industry leaders, suppliers, and policymakers.

The role can be based in Birmingham or London. The role usually involves some UK travel with occasional overnight stays.
