Job Description
We are seeking a talented SEO Strategist to join our digital marketing team at IFS. This is an opportunity for an individual with a passion for SEO to drive digital growth at a fast-growing enterprise software company. With a demand generation mindset, you'll drive our organic growth strategy and have full responsibility for driving the global SEO strategy, activities and measurement. Reporting to the Global Digital Marketing Director you will manage and be supported by an SEO agency. You will be the centre of excellence for SEO and work closely with regional, local and industry marketing teams to enhance our website and user experiences, elevate the IFS brand, develop the content strategy and maximize conversion opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will need excellent SEO, analytical and content skills, and to be collaboratively minded - helping other people to be successful to achieve your own goals.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and drive business growth.
Manage the SEO agency day to day to drive performance against company goals; defining the jobs to be done each month, managing a tracker, arranging and leading regular calls
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including content, design, brand and comms to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of content creation.
Contribute to the marketing content strategy, ensuring it represents SEO objectives.
Evangelise the importance of SEO with key stakeholders and the wider teams in the business to maximise opportunities and drive leads
Work closely with the website team, providing strategic direction to the website roadmap
Educate wider marketing team on SEO, producing training materials and documentation where required, and hosting internal training sessions
Review monthly website technical audits and work with your colleagues, developers and the agency to resolve the issues affecting SEO performance
Understand and interpret industry developments to maximise our SEO strategy
Monitor and analyse website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and other technology
Provide regular reports and actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders
Prepare monthly reports against marketing wide targets
Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to continuously refine and enhance our SEO strategies.
Explore and leverage AI-driven tools and technologies to enhance SEO strategies
Stay updated on AI advancements and identify opportunities to incorporate AI into SEO processes such as keyword research, content optimization, and predictive analytics.
Use Asana to manage your work across projects and tasks
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in SEO, with a track record of driving organic traffic and improving search engine rankings, website performance and content optimisation
Proven ability to develop and execute successful SEO strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable results
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insight to create solutions and actions.
In-depth understanding of SEO best practices, algorithms, and ranking factors, content management, link-building, keyword research and related skills,
Advanced understanding of technical SEO, on-site and off-site
Experience managing an external agency or 3rd parties
Proficiency in tools such as GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, or similar software.
Experience of managing website and content migrations from a SEO point of view
A keen interest in how AI can support SEO strategies and activities, and awareness of the ethical considerations to ensure responsible and ethical use of AI in SEO
