The Role

As a Cyber Security Technician Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role within the Information & Cyber Security Group. The primary role of a Cyber Security Technician is to provide first line cyber security support.
This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to implement a series of technical, procedural and physical controls to monitor, detect and respond to a wide range of cyber security threats and maintain business continuity. You will learn about cyber risk and mitigation with a focus on maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital data. You will develop your skills and use your experiences to feed into policy decisions of a cyber security awareness culture within the business.
In this role you will be encouraged to work in a variety of environments, learning new skills with support from a wealth of experienced Engineers, Analysts, Technicians and Specialists. You will receive a thorough understanding of current and future technologies, threat analysis techniques and controls used to mitigate or remediate cyber security risks under the supervision of the Information & Cyber Security Analysts in the Group and other managers in the Division.
