The Role
The UNIX Systems Group, part of the Computing Division at UKAEA, is integral to the technical design and delivery of UNIX systems, mainly running Linux and Solaris. Operating within the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Unit, this group actively supports application deployment, managing network infrastructure, security, server, storage, end-user compute, and device management. The Unix Systems Administrator, contributing to the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions unit, plays a crucial role in configuring and maintaining UNIX-based systems, ensuring seamless operations, and promptly addressing technical issues. This role is essential for managing system configurations and implementing project-related activities within the broader scope of the Computing Division's responsibilities.
