Job Description
The Global Head of Regulatory & Compliance Services is responsible for creating and executing a global regulatory & compliance services strategy for IQ-EQ Group’s clients and ensures this drives the company's key objective of profitable organic growth.
The role will be accountable for the overall revenue growth of Regulatory & Compliance clients of the Group by setting out and executing a growth strategy addressing new client acquisition and commercial collaboration between the IQ-EQ offices and other segment leads.
The role will also be responsible for creating and successfully rolling out (together with the team of Chief Operating Officer of the Group) a Global Operating Model for the service line, including ensuring that the teams, tools, and processes deployed in service delivery are optimal and fit-for-purpose and in line with delivering service excellence, also contribute to the continuous development of centres of excellences for specialised regulatory & compliance services.
The Global Head of Regulatory & Compliance Services will work with the Global Head of L&D of IQ-EQ to establish and maintain relevant training and knowledge sharing sessions for the Group’s employees working with regulatory & compliance clients.
Responsibilities (what does the day-to-day look like)
The role will proactively drive, direct, and develop the Regulatory & Compliance services offering. Measures towards this include, but will not be limited to:
- Develop, roll out and monitor the execution of a Global Regulatory & Compliance Sales Strategy
- Setting up and maintaining a framework and platform to stimulate commercial collaboration for Regulatory & Compliance clients and new opportunities between the IQ-EQ offices
- In charge of continuous development of IQ-EQ’s Global value proposition for regulatory & compliance clients
- Develop a consultative approach to differentiate our offering vs competition
- Conduct market research, client and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Expand service offering with new products and / or partnerships for regulatory & compliance clients working closely with Global Head of Product Development
- Lead Tier 1 Regulatory & Compliance pitches and increase conversion rate of regulatory & compliance RFPs with working closely on multi-jurisdictional deals with Global Sales Enablement
- Together with local CCOs ensure accurate and timely pipeline management and conversion of key regulatory & compliance opportunities
- Harmonise & monitor pricing policy across the Group for regulatory & compliance prospective clients
- Exec Sponsor role for MaxComply software, and work with Group COO and IT to ensure software delivery platforms for regulatory & compliance (MaxComply and gVue) have aligned development roadmaps and are rolled out to relevant locations for internal and external use
- Develop business partner relationships via proactive & coordinated planning with regional CCOs, and join key business partner meetings
- Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers within Tier 1 regulatory & compliance clients of the Group, and join / lead SRR client reviews
- Ensure that Client Plans are developed and maintained for key regulatory & compliance clients setting out our approach to maximising revenue growth opportunities with each client through up-sell and commercial collaboration
- By using available management information, monitor long-term profitability of key regulatory & compliance client relationships and assist local teams if required in negotiations to increase profitability
- Develop with local COOs and monitor the execution initiatives to remediate less profitable key regulatory & compliance client relationships to acceptable standards
- Establish any gaps in the provision of a best practice solution for Regulatory & Compliance and address accordingly. Consider any technology enhancements and engage with Operations and Technology in establishing solutions which may enhance our offering and expedite delivery
- Responsible for thought leadership initiatives for regulatory & compliance. Contribute to and deliver thought leadership and LinkedIn Campaigns in the sector
- Work closely with Global Head of L&D for effective internal knowledge sharing
- Assist Global Head of Compliance and Risk in remediation of escalations related to key regulatory & compliance clients
- Actively promote a constructive “pro-compliance” culture at Local, Regional, and Group level
- Act as a point of escalation for relationship issues with key regulatory & compliance clients
- Manage Marketing budgets of regulatory & compliance services as agreed with Global Head of Funds & Asset Managers
- Liaise with Group marketing to set out business development plan objectives for regulatory & compliance services using brand profile, marketing collateral and event management
- Work with Group Marketing to continuously develop consistent, best-in-class market-facing collateral
- Ensure target market/sector awareness and market intelligence to support new product development & promotion

Required Experience
Education / professional qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Law, Business Management or a related field, and at least one internationally recognised, relevant professional qualification
Background experience
15+ years’ experience in the regulatory & compliance services sector, a portion of which at senior leadership level. Specialization in regulatory & compliance services is required. Extensive experience Alternative funds and financial services regulatory environment, Compliance processes and technology. Demonstrated accomplishments in Sales and Business Development.
Company, product and market knowledge
Understanding of business process management and optimisation, as well as the principle of continuous improvement

Superior management skills and track record in senior leadership role
