This position is a hybrid role based in OES’ Birmingham office (2-3 days per week) with the remainder working from your home.
The primary purpose of this role is to support and enhance the student experience by providing actionable insights derived from the analysis of internal and external data. The Data Analyst will be responsible for translating analytical findings into practical recommendations to drive improvements in student acquisition, retention, and overall satisfaction.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
· Proven experience in analytics, reporting, or data engineering within professional services or corporate environments.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
· Proficiency in databases and SQL programming.
· Excellent numeracy, writing, and presentation skills.
· Ability to deliver high-quality results within specified deadlines.
· Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
To really stand out
· Proficiency in Python and/or R programming languages.
· Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, Sagemaker, Comprehend, Athena, etc.
What you'll be working on
· Analyse internal and external data to generate insights and recommendations for the business.
· Support initiatives aimed at improving student acquisition, retention and learning experience through data-driven analysis and evaluation.
· Establish marketing and retention strategies to assess their impact on key performance metrics.
· Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and present findings in an easily understandable manner using various data visualisation techniques.
· Maintain regular reporting in Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and fulfill ad-hoc analysis requests.
· Support data integrity efforts and minimise inconsistencies in data.
· Support ad-hoc analysis requests and data provision.
