As a part of Inmarsat’s Chief Operations Office (COO) plays a vital role managing the services that keep our business running and delivering to our customers. The Cloud Network Infrastructure (CNI) provides operation support on mission critical environment. As part of Inmarsat’s continuous development, Inmarsat now offer on Cloud Computing infrastructure on prem cloud services based on VMware and OpenStack and in public cloud with AWS.
The role will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting the infrastructure, deploy new project and standard BAU activities for our internal customers. The successful candidate will be required to support level 3 escalated tickets as well as work with internal development teams on future designs and solutions.
The role will require the successful candidate to interact directly with customer technical teams to help resolve and improve services and with the various suppliers to manage the incidents and problems. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations (adding users, scale virtual environment, patching/upgrading). Value point for the candidate ability to create design documents, and, in case MoP (Manual of Procedure).
To support the Inmarsat Core Network Cloud Infrastructure the candidate needs to have base coding capabilities for automate the BAU activities, along with Linux Knowledge (RHEL and Ubuntu), Windows Environment, networking and storage skills.
The role is to ensure that the customer attains a complete service provided by Inmarsat with little or no downtime as practically possible and attain the SLA that is guaranteed by Inmarsat.
Without the correct support and role, customers would be unable to communicate with our satellites creating a critical service outage.
