Role: Senior Account Manager (internally called Engagement Manager)

Community: Engagement

Type: Full-time, permanent (6-12 months FTC could be considered)

Location: London

Set up: Hybrid working, in the studio 3 days per week, 2 days remote per week

Your role:

Our Engagement Managers focus on delivering projects, making the impossible seem effortlessly possible every day. You will work on one to two projects or workstreams, with another more senior member of the Engagement community who will be leading the client. In addition to providing programme planning and direction, you will ensure financial administration excellence and deliver coordination for the project and team. As your experience builds, you will have the opportunity to work on small projects or new business with a senior principal from another community.

We expect our Engagement Managers to deliver the work by exploring challenges and opportunities, generating ground breaking ideas, while developing your craft and broadening your skills.

You are responsible for:

Programme planning and management

  • Writing and costing new business and project proposals
  • Planning larger programmes of work with the support of a more senior members of the Engagement community
  • Presenting project overview and timings during meetings as well as keeping them on track
  • Managing clients during project delivery from generating to maintaining time plans, to sharing meeting agendas and writing and following up with meeting notes

Financial administration

  • Demonstrate financial administrative excellence on projects this includes reviewing teams timesheets, expenses, managing POs, billing schedules, checking invoices, chasing payment, financial tracking and profitability and revenue recognition
  • Keeping the senior client leads up to date on the financial status of the project, highlighting any issues and work together to address them
  • Supporting client leads to manage financial negotiations and conversations with clients and internally within the business
  • Supporting any contract negotiations

Project coordination

  • Delivering the work on time and on budget
  • Managing internal teams and partners as part of an agreed project plan
  • Keeping weekly resourcing up to date and on track for what you need to deliver the work
  • Support Engagement Directors and Senior Engagement Directors on delivering key workstreams, and setting up of larger more complex programmes
  • Coordinating with clients and internal teams to set up key meetings
  • Checking and proof-reading work before it goes out

Client relationship building

  • Developing strong relationships with client Project / Brand Managers
  • Sharing any opportunities to grow existing workstreams, and working with project leads to form an approach

New business contribution

  • Supporting pitch teams in writing project plans, costings, creds, proof-reading
  • Managing the delivery of case studies once a project has wrapped up

Engagement and the wider Wolff Olins community

  • Being a present and active member in the Engagement and wider Wolff Olins community including volunteering to organise Engagement meetings or gatherings, Sharing any client learnings or training, Helping to deliver internal events and initiatives.

Requirements

You will:

  • be comfortable working across multiple projects
  • have had previous experience of project/account management in branding or similar creative services or strategic consultancy
  • basic financial acumen in running projects
  • a passion and aptitude for branding, both design and strategy
