Job Descrption
Our client who are an independent corrugated cardboard packaging business, are focused on delivering innovative customer centric solutions and high-quality products to help their customers grow, are currently on the look out for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The role is hands on and requires strong mechanical and or electrical knowledge and problem solving skills.
Requirements
- Fault Finding on machines and auxiliaries
- Ensuring machine maintenance programmes are followed
- Maintaining and improving housekeeping practices
- Adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures
- Monitoring machine quality to ensure high standards are maintained
- Installation, PPM and reactive maintenance
- Mechanical/Hydraulics/Pneumatics
- Fault diaognosis and repair
- Electrical/PLC troubleshooting
- Respond to plant breakdowns
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time keeping skills
- Good communicational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment
- Ability to work alone and under pressure
- Needs to have a full understanding of their safety and others around them (clean work space)
