Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join our team. You will lead the creation, optimisation, and ongoing maintenance of advanced machine learning (ML) models, which are essential for evaluating investment prospects and forecasting their performance. You will delve into an extensive database comprising over 500 tested and analysed features, refining and expanding this set to enhance predictive accuracy, as well as generate new hypotheses that could serve as indicators of startup success. Ultimately, your expertise will be instrumental in formulating and executing strategies aimed at identifying startups with the potential to outperform market benchmarks, thereby driving our investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading sourcing & initial evaluation of investment opportunities
• Assisting companies & founders
• Analysing financial data with Excel
• Building and maintaining key relationships within the entrepreneurs ecosystem
• Conducting market and commercial research
• Ad-hoc assistance on operations, legal, or financial modelling may be required
• Full time position, fixed term for 3 months with opportunity to extend for longer period of time

Requirements

• Genuine interest in the Venture Capital ecosystem
• Financial Analysis experience
• Based in London
• Exceptional quantitative & qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand the wider implications of new concepts.
• Computer Science / similar technical background is a plus
• Top University (recently graduated or about to graduate), with focus on computing, finance, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, and/or business
• Previous experience in VC/Investment Banking/Big Tech/Consulting/Start-ups desired
• Basic Python Knowledge is a plus
