We are seeking a Korean-English bilingual candidate with a strong understanding of accounting especially in the month end closing, treasury and financial statements reporting. This role must have high level of ownership, be able to follow directions and work independently, but also think critically and suggest improvement ideas for the team. This person should be a team player and partner with many different teams within and outside company.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct the monthly closing process, including preparing and posting journal entries, GL reconciliations while meeting global closing deadlines
Prepare monthly financial statements and various closing files for HQ report
Manage lease accounting and prepaid accounts
Perform treasury and cash account management
Support external audits by preparing financial statement packages and completing audit requests
Organize financial health check and other various internal control processes (GPPM, IFRS and ad-hoc requirements)
Assist intercompany transactions
Be able to learn new tasks and adapt to varying responsibilities as the business changes
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
8+ years of accounting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean
Previous role(s) should include treasury, GL accounting and audit support
Advanced proficiency with Excel (Macro, Pivot), PowerPoint, and financial DB
NetSuite and SAP experience a plus
High attention to detail and be accurate
Well organized and be able to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) will be considered a plus
