MORSE is an innovative, employee-owned, tech company located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA specializing in solving multi-disciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem. Our specially selected team of engineers, software developers and scientists develop algorithms, software, and hardware in the domains of AI, Manned and Unmanned Vehicles, Mission Planning, and Warfighter Situational Awareness.
The R&D Material Engineer at MORSE Corp will develop of first-of-a-kind materials for components of autonomous vehicles, sensor systems and other electromechanical systems with unique characteristics enabled by these materials. The candidate should be able to leverage a deep understanding of both the inherent material properties and the methods used for materials processing and manufacture. The R&D Material Engineer will develop lab-scale processing and manufacturing equipment that alters conventional material systems that include polymers, metals, glasses, ceramics, and composites to achieve fundamentally new material properties. The candidate will then leverage these new materials to develop prototype components for characterization, demonstrations, and integration into larger systems for developmental testing.
