Job Description
As a Digital Strategy Manager, you will play a crucial role within the OCIDO to shape and execute BA Digital’s Strategy through strategic thinking, leadership, and tech expertise.
Purpose of the role
As a leader within the BA Digital Directorate, you will play a pivotol role in aligning BA Digital’s strategy with overarching business objectives. In this role you will be dedicated to fostering innovation, driving operational efficiency, managing interdependencies arising from BA Digital’s strategic priorities, mitigating risks by ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. Additionally, your effective communication of the directorate strategy to diverse stakeholders, coupled with the promotion of an innovative culture, will underscore BA Digital’s commitment to ensuring that BA digital functions as a strategic enabler.
Accountabilities
Working in partnership with BA Digital, and the business to:
Shape and lead on BA Digital’s directorate strategy including owning and driving the directorate strategy ensuring alignment to the BA Digital vision.
Identify and assess risks and interdependencies to BA Digital initiatives, developing mitigation strategies where needed and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Promote a culture of innovation within BA Digital by exploring and implementing new technologies and methodologies or encouraging the development of creative solutions to business challenges.
Establish and enforce tech business governance processes to ensure that initiatives align with priorities including implementing policies and procedures to guide decision-making within BA Digital.
Agree and gain commitment through key stakeholder management for BA Digital’s strategy and roadmap to ensure that there is a shared understanding of the strategic direction.
Define objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure the success of BA Digital and regularly assess and report on the performance.
Achieve trusted business partnering with senior business stakeholders, collaborating as a valued partner, building solid and trusting relationships up to and including MC level, both within the Group and British Airways.
We are looking for individuals able to navigate through uncertainty, with high agility and adaptability that work smarter not harder.
This role may require some travel and working from multiple sites/locations within UK and internationally. You must be willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops and other related activities.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Desired: Degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field Relevant certifications in strategy, project management, or related areas

Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape future direction.
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing and developing environment.

Experience
Proven experience in developing and executing IT strategies that align with organizational goals.
Leadership experience within a complex global organisation, demonstrating the ability to guide and inspire teams.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including leadership and technical teams.
Experience assessing and managing project or program outcomes, benefits realization, or value measurement.
Experience in project management, business analysis, or a related field providing a foundational understanding of project lifecycles, risks, and value deliver.
Experience of successfully completing and influencing complex analytical assignments, and of complex problem solving.
Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential.
