Job Description

Ramboll are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our office located in Dubai.  The successful candidate will provide HVAC and services including calculations and modelling. He will work closely and in collaboration with Ramboll global teams including KSA, UK, Singapore, India, and USA offices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cooling and heating load calculations using IES and/or Rhino.
• Prepare schematics layouts and equipment schedules.
• Perform a simple design modelling task using Revit.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or building service Engineering

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years’ design experience, experience in Middle East projects is preferable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / KNOWLEGDE

Specific areas of anticipated technical skills include:

• Proven ability to carry out both manual and computer aided calculations.
• Detailed knowledge of heat load calculation, design software such as HAP, IES, Rhino etc
• Adequate knowledge of Revit / digitalization techniques is preferable.
• Knowledge of local and international design standards, BSEN, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc
• Full knowledge of local statutory authorities’ regulations and submission requirements in the middle east.
• Knowledge of HVAC design Principles
• Maintain and participate in CPD events to develop own expertise.
