Reports to: Workshop Site Supervisor
Location: Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance, Glasgow Prestwick Airport
• Supervise & organise manpower and planning.
• Organise and evaluate repairs.
• Allocation and prioritisation of tasks and management of technical jobs.
• Ordering & progressing spares.
• Ensuring documentation is completed correctly in accordance with maintenance and company procedures.
• Ensuring that company regulations and policies are enforced.
• Ensuring the work area and environment are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Developing skills of all staff, including apprentices and trainee mechanics.
• Assist with & carry out machining repairs.
• Any additional tasks allocated by management.
Requirements
• Previous experience of supervising/managing manpower essential.
• Ability and willingness to train non – skilled personnel.
• Ability to operate and program VMC’s (Hurco WinMax).
• Ability to use manual mill machines and lathes.
• AutoCAD and Fusion360 experience.
• Experienced and competent using inspection tooling.
• Experienced with interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft office word & excel software.
• Experienced in Inspection and creation of work cards/work packs.
• Engineering background or relevant academic qualification is essential.
• Exhibit a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
• Flexible approach to working in a fast changing environment.
