Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: A mix of working at our Thatcham office, customer sites and home working

Salary: Up to circa £40,000 depending on skills and experience

Wherever our customers are on their IT roadmap, we can support them, from a simple IT review to a full cloud migration and ongoing infrastructure support.

We operate out of three offices, Berkshire, Newcastle & Belfast, and have 150 employees across Cybit. We have great relationships with our vendors, and we’re a Microsoft Gold Partner, AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, Qlik Elite Partner, Alteryx Premier Partner, Palo Alto Platinum Innovator, F5 Gold Partner, and more!

What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will work as part of our delivery team, working on customer projects both remotely and on-site. The projects will include site moves, installing new infrastructure for customers, server work and maintenance and improvements on our exisiting customer networks.

You will have a solid career in IT and be very well rounded in your technology exposure with experience of working on similar types of projects as well as enjoying being on site with customers.

We're looking for someone with

    • A well-rounded technical experience covering servers, cloud infrastructure software and networks. Ideally you will have solid and proven experience of:
      • Configuring and maintaining Windows servers 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022.
      • Active Directory & Group Policy.
      • Networking skills across switching, firewalls, APs and routers.
      • Cabling, including new office roll outs, cabinet tidies, site moves.
      • O365 basic administraction.
      • Desktop client knowledge in Windows 10 and 11.
  • It would be beneficial to have experience with brands including Watchguard, Unifi, Ruckus, Meraki and Sophos.
  • An ability to express knowledge in terms appropriate to the audience, which may include client senior executives, managers and end-users. 
  • A full UK driving license and access to a suitable vehicle.
