Job Description

Reaction Engines are commercialising revolutionary thermal management technologies, developed through our SABRE programme, to now offer to exciting markets including electric transport, zero-emission aerospace, motorsport, and more efficient power generation.

 

This key role will develop customers and key strategic partnerships to drive growing commercial revenues across the wide-reaching aerospace sector, including zero emissions, Civil and Defence. This sector will rely on developing zero emission powertrains and ultra-efficient aircraft systems which will require advanced thermal management, giving the Business Development Manager an opportunity to make a truly significant positive impact on the environment.

 

You will be part of the Applied Technologies core team, working closely with the Applied Technologies Director, Sector Leads and the other Business Development Managers to deliver a sales strategy to increase the company’s revenue targets through direct sales, licence agreements, partnerships and strategic alliances.

 

Our technology is truly unique with the ability to enable a step change for our customers, so we are looking for someone with both technical and commercial understanding to maximise value by intelligently targeting opportunities. 

Qualifications

To be successful you'll need:

  • A proven track record selling new or differentiating technology or products.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience working within a product-based technology company.
  • Experience within a business development role with proven success.
  • Experienced with the bid/tender process.
  • Engineering or business degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer focus
  • Confident and pragmatic
  • Passion for engineering and technology
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel if necessary and to support engagement with customers and partners
  • Able to work remotely and in a team in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and with minimal supervision

    Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
