Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will plan, develop, qualify, optimise and maintain component manufacturing and assembly processes, which are key to our Industrialisation efforts.
A main part of your role will be to define and standardised documentation of our manufacturing processes, whilst ensuring compliance & and other standards are met.
You will be working closely with Design Engineering, to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and proactively identify and overcome risks within the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
To be successful you'll need:
Relevant production experience, developing and maintaining manufacturing processes
A broad knowledge in core manufacturing techniques, process variables and control including conventional machining, joining, fabrication and heat treatment
Expert in interpreting drawings to provide dimensional inspection or manufacturing requirements and informed selection of appropriate techniques of measurement
A degree/HND level qualification or equivalent in an engineering discipline is desirable but not required, so long as the applicant can demonstrate previous experience and attributes for the role
Strong communication skills
Extremely organised
Good numerical skills & attention to fine detail
Awareness of material and engineering standards and specifications
Able to simplify and break down complex problems into manageable targets
Methodical and thorough approach to testing, experimentation and process development
Resilient, motivated, proactive, flexible
