Associates are primarily responsible for the creation and oversight of financial models, marketing materials, internal and external presentations, as well as performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation and the execution of M&A transactions. Associates are afforded meaningful responsibility, and are generally members of lean deal teams. Our group employs an interdisciplinary approach to engagements and is accustomed to evaluating complex, highly leveraged situations in short time frames. We are also a recognized leader in achieving merger and acquisition transactions for distressed companies.

FR hires new Associates to work specifically with the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity for Associates to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information
• Prepare marketing materials, confidential information and management presentations, etc.
• Perform valuation and ad hoc financial analyses
• Assist in the marketing and execution of existing engagements
• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with current and prospective clients and professional advisors
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance
• An undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institution
• Strong analytical/technical and qualitative abilities
• 3-4+ years of investment banking experience or MBA Associate with 1+ years of investment banking experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously
• Extensive operational financial modeling and valuation experience 
• A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
• Very strong work ethic and careful attention to detail
