Responsibilities
The Navy Strategic Systems Hypersonics and Advanced Reentry Directorate (PAB) is seeking a student intern to join our technology development team to support the development of cutting-edge technology for applications in hypersonic weapons systems. This position works closely with multiple technical teams as directed by the relevant Technical Directors and Program Managers. This role will push you to develop your communication, analytical, leadership, and technical skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the technical development of advanced technologies in PAB Collaborate with the Business Operations team and cross-functional groups. Build and maintain effective working relationships, gaining exposure to various Draper functional groups.
- Assist the technical staff in data analysis, design activities, test result analysis, data acquisition, and test planning as required by technical leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated outstanding undergraduate academic performance in technical fields such as physics, engineering, and computer science
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
- Collaboration with team members to gain exposure and work together to solve problems
- Detail-oriented with an interest in digging into data
- Self-starter that is capable of working independently and in a team environment
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2024.
- Be available to work part-time or full-time (40 hours per week)
- Ability to work onsite at the Draper Office in Cambridge, MA
