Night Project Worker

 

Canterbury

 

£13.12 per hour

 

Up to 37.5 hours per week

 

(Full-time and Part-time available)

 

 

Sanctuary Supported Living are delighted to be recruiting for a Night Project Worker at Whitstable Road, Canterbury, to provide support to children and young adults.

 

At Sanctuary Supported Living, we specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care and support services to people across England. We help people to live as independently as possible through supported housing, Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered services, retirement communities, move-on accommodation, floating support, and technology in the home.

The role of Night Project Worker will include:

  • Provide high quality person centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice
  • Establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement, ensuring that clients maintain personal choice, privacy and dignity
  • Assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focussing on positive outcomes to maximise clients' potential and enable them to exercise choice and control
  • Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients independence and personal potential
  • Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable clients to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community
  • Manage the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of clients and to avoid potential risk to stakeholders and the business
  • Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults
  • Proven experience of working with relevant client group
  • Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant client group
  • Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients whatever their needs
  • Ability to keep accurate records and clearly communicate relevant information
  • Ability to make accurate simple calculations
  • Email and internet communications
