**The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Engineering team to provide technical support on electrical activities to the Production Unit. A key aspect of the role is being a Senior Authorised Electrical Person (SAEP) and to be a signatory for high voltage work, safety certificates and excavations and to assist in the effective management of all electrical aspects of HSSE and legislative regulations on behalf of the PU and to identify areas for improvement and asset replacement.
The role will provide specialist electrical engineering support to the Production Unit and will also act as an Electrical Focal Point for Management of Change. The role will carry out all PU HV and LV distribution switching activities and assist in ensuring that all switchgear maintenance inspections are progressed and carried out as required. The role will also represent the department at meetings and will also develop the electrical and temporary supplies shutdown scopes and implementation of the scopes.
**About You
Our ideal candidate should have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship (C & G, NVQ, ONC/HNC or equivalent). You should also have a sound understanding of high voltage distribution systems, hazardous areas and equipment and have knowledge of Petrochemical repair and manufacturing techniques in both Workshops and Plant Environments. You should be able to demonstrate good communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to have good working relationships with Contractors. Good knowledge of Microsoft office, word, excel and knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
