Summary

The Accounting Assistant will assist the Finance team and perform a variety of Accounting and Administrative responsibilities and provide support to the following groups: PD Supply (Manager and Buyers), Operations (Field and Rig Managers) & Houston Tech Center (Managers).

Responsibilities:

• • Assist Operations with running various SAP financial reports
  • Process journal entries and assist with the month-end closing process
  • Coordinate month end activities - ensure all accruals, corrections and other journal entries are posted and reversed if necessary
  • Verify and post approved freight uploads
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages to operations and the field
  • Prepare monthly Overhead reports, comments on variances and distribute
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly reports, rolling forecasts and year-end statements  
  • Support and assist with the reviewing and adjusting of field direct Purchase Requisitions (PRs), creating Purchase Orders (POs) once approved, and performing the Goods Receipt (GR).
  • Assist in coding non-PO type expenses
  • Assist with Service & Part Purchase Requisition
  • Assist in generating and distributing various reports to clear out outstanding items (Outstanding VIM Report, Held POs, Open PRs/POs, and WBS & AFE Report).
  • Run and maintain Open Backorder PO/PR reports
  • Maintain open GR/IR report, contact vendor for missing invoice
  • Monitor VIM workspace to ensure timely resolution of exception items
  • Assist and Track Work Orders & 3P WBS’s from start to finish
  • Provide Operations with WO & WBS summary reports
  • Identify GL code correction, provide support to finance for reclassification
  • Perform other related duties as required

Education

•  
• Years of experience combined with education, designations, or certifications.

Experience

• 1-3 years of working experience in Accounting.
• Knowledge of SAP or other large company ERP a plus
• Demonstrate strong knowledge business software applications  (proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
