About the Team:
The finance team at Peterlee is responsible for a wide range of accounting duties. As well as ensuring all corporate financial reporting requirements are met, we work closely with other departments (both on and offsite), providing support and information to assist with decision making. We are a small team and therefore the role involves flexibility and interaction with other team members to ensure all department tasks are completed in a professional manner to agreed timescales.
What you can look forward to as Management Accountant (m/f/d):
- Assist with the preparation and reporting of the plant financial performance each month, analysing and interpreting results and providing commentary against budget/ forecast
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews with the corporate finance team
- Assist with the production of the monthly forecast and creation of the annual plant budget
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and tracking project spend from approval to asset capitalisation
- Work closely with purchasing and accounts payable departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Provide all departments with the financial data required to make informed decisions, including explanations/ interpretation
- Completion of board notes, tax packs and corporate finance information requests
- Supporting external and internal audits
Your Profile as Management Accountant (m/f/d):
- Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience of a busy finance function within a large multi-national company
- Up to date knowledge of IFRS
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills
- SAP ERP experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver information in a concise manner
