Position Summary & Location

Acuity Brands is hiring a Focus Factory Cell Leader in Carlisle, PA to help grow our team in continuous improvement processes in alignment with our Better, Smarter, Faster operating system.

This position works on site full-time from Carlisle, PA.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Lead and help develop 20-30 hourly employees in Better Smarter Faster tools.
• Drives safety, quality, and productivity performance in accordance with BSF and End User satisfaction.
• Determines daily manpower and work assignments for employees to adjust for fluctuations in demand.
• May be scheduled on shifts and weekends without additional Leadership support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or Bachelors' Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment, preferably high volume and cellular is required.
• 2+ years previous Leadership experience in a production setting is required.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools and experience in leading Kaizens is required.
• Experience in problem solving, KPI bowler, Pareto charts and RCCM, communication and conflict resolution is required.
• Experience driving to a poka yoke process to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to stand 10-12 hours per day, lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Able to see, hear and comprehend in a noisy environment.
• Able to tolerate temperature ranges of 40 - 90 degrees F.
• Able to work other shifts and/or weekend hours.

The range for this position is $49,700.00 to $92,900.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
