CNC Machinist opening:
A great opportunity has opened in our factory Newport for a CNC Machinist for the manufacturing of components to company or customer specification using manual and CNC machining equipment.
The role includes:
- Setup and operate manual and CNC machine tools in order to produce precision components.
- Inspection of machined components to engineering drawings, to ensure that the required specification is met.
- Chemical based cleaning of machined parts.
- Product packing and despatch to the customer.
Key responsibilities:
- Comply with all company Health and Safety policies and requirements.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- Safe handling of chemicals through COSHH awareness.
- Complying with company quality procedures to ensure a supply of high-quality product consistently meets customer needs.
Required skills:
- Must have previous experience as CNC machining (Milling).
- Familiar with Heidenhain CNC control
- Must have experience using Microsoft Outlook (Word & Excel advantageous).
Desired skills:
- COSHH trained.
- Knowledge of CAM/CAD.
