Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Electronics Avionics Engineer, you will join the Alten Ltd Oxford team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Implementing design modifications of aircraft for a Major Aerospace Organisation.
• Responsible for planning and installing the electrical, avionics, communications and flight control system on the aircraft.
• Integrating existing systems into aircraft depending on Design Modification Requirements
• Analysing and troubleshooting different sub-systems on the aircraft
• Using Mechanical/Electrical Design Software and Tools to produce different drawings and fittings for mechanical parts on the aircraft

• Experienced Avionics Engineer with an Electrical Background
• Driven and Motivated Engineer with the ability to grow and lead a team
• An Engineer who is an expert in understanding, designing and configuring aircraft modification certificates.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or similar
• 5 years of experience+ as an Engineer involved with Aircraft Design Modifications.
• MUST be EASA Part 21J / Part 21 SUBPART J design qualified - through an EASA design approved organisation.
• Proficiency using CAD Tools, i.e.: AutoCAD for Electrical Design, within the Aerospace Industry
• Effective Understanding of Wiring, Electrical Components and Safety to implement and modify electrics on the aircraft.
• Strong comprehension of with design/aircraft modification documentation with ability to share and convey this knowledge.
• An effective and thorough communicator with leadership qualities
