Designed for the needs of financial markets infrastructures, it is trusted by the world’s leading financial market infrastructures (FMIs), central banks and commercial banks.  About your Internship:You will join the DC Enterprise Readiness team and work with trusted technologies, different blockchains and Corda (DLT) to build the future of Digital Currencies.
No team is an island – you will work with many others within your team to help ensure we build the best possible products. Engage in weekly one-to-one sessions with your manager to discuss feedback and set goals for the upcoming week. Gain insights from leaders across the organisation, offering you a holistic view of how a pioneering tech start-up operates from Product to Sales. Showcase your work, learn from experienced team members, and make the most of the opportunities presented during your internship. About you:You are a highly motivated, self-sufficient student or graduate. You have a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, either through formal study or via some other route. You are curious and quick to learn about new technologies, and keen to build on your skills by learning on the job.
We believe the best Engineers can adapt to and learn any language, so whilst we are at heart a Kotlin shop, we welcome anyone with a strong software engineering background who wants to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Writing test cases based on the requirements given by Product
• Automating the test cases using Kotlin and R3’s bespoke framework to evaluate the software
• Documenting all testing procedures
• Reporting bugs and making recommendations to improve the software product
• Collaborating with other Test Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Owners and other team members
• Retesting software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
• Attending meetings with the development team, clients and other groups

Education & Experience:

• Computer Science / Mathematics / Engineering student with proficiency in an object-oriented language like Java, Python, JavaScript or Kotlin
• Flexible with the ability to work independently in addition to working productively alongside software, test engineers and project managers in the team
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to successfully manage tasks as well as excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills
• Proactive, conscientious, self-motivated and goal oriented with excellent attention to detail

• Please note that our Summer internship Program will be running from June-September 2024 and we can therefore only consider applicants who can commit to these time frames.
• Moreover, we cannot provide sponsorship for this position so candidates will need to have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
