The Role: Scientist II, Discovery
Shape the Future of Gene Therapy: As a Scientist II within our Discovery department, you will be at the forefront of our mission, independently driving projects to enhance our rAAV vector platform. Your work will directly contribute to our understanding and application of gene therapy, opening new avenues for treating neurodegenerative disorders.
Your Impact:
Lead and execute studies to push the boundaries of our rAAV vector platform, from research design to execution.
Oversee rAAV vector production, ensuring support for both in vivo and in vitro studies.
Coordinate multiple projects, managing timelines to ensure objectives are met efficiently.
Utilize your deep understanding of AAV vectorology to innovate, troubleshoot, and interpret complex data, advancing our platform.
Stay ahead of the curve by integrating new technologies and optimizing workflows within Vector Sciences.
Communicate your findings effectively, showcasing your data analysis prowess and driving informed decision-making.
Mentor junior scientists and interns, sharing your knowledge to build our collective expertise and foster team growth.
Collaborate across teams to accelerate company goals, enriching our projects with your technical insights.
Develop SOPs and documentation, ensuring your contributions are shared and understood within the Discovery team and beyond.
Requirements
Who You Are:
You bring extensive experience in AAV vector production, especially within HEK293 cells, and are skilled in both upstream and downstream processes.
Your expertise spans analytical techniques such as Western blot, qPCR, and ELISA, coupled with robust data analysis and assay optimization skills.
With a solid foundation in experimental design, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and AAV vectorology, you're ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
Your time management, attention to detail, and documentation are unparalleled.
Holding a BSc/MSc with significant gene therapy industry experience or a PhD with years of relevant industry/academic experience, you’re poised to make a difference.
