As a Flooring Installer, you play an integral role in creating quality apartments for our residents to call home for years to come. You will work with our team in new construction, building apartments from the ground up. To be successful in this role, you must be reliable, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively. Exceptional candidates are those who are driven, love to work hard alongside their team, have excellent leadership skills, and are dedicated to teaching others.
Starting pay: 23/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with experienced flooring specialists to assist in the installation of various flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, vinyl, and tile.
- Prepare work areas by removing existing flooring and ensuring surfaces are clean, level, and suitable for new flooring installations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of flooring materials, tools, and equipment.
- Learn to measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit designated spaces under the guidance of senior team members.
- Familiarize yourself with and safely operate a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in the flooring industry.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Be open to learning and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge of the flooring trade.
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to client specifications.
- Keep work areas organized and clean before, during, and after installations.

Requirements
- Experience with tiling and/or flooring installation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Carpentry skills with a focus on precision and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
