The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer to work closely with our strategy, creative, and studio teams to translate strategic market findings into beautiful and purposeful brands that stand the test of time. This is a key creative leadership role that reports directly to the Studio Director, while acting as the driving force across the team’s design output across art direction, branding, and campaign design assets.
Responsibilities
Branding
Audit brand, it’s competitors, and the brand landscape from a design perspective
Use audience, competitor, and market findings from our strategy team to inform the art direction by providing moodboards and design commentary.
Develop initial concepts for brands (Logos, fonts, colours, layout).
Work closely with clients to define concept feedback into a final brand.
Deliver final brand guidelines documents which include brandmarks, colour, typography, imagery, & application with the support of a midweight designer.
Content & Marketing
Create best in class static content and assets across social & digital campaigns for our clients
Build design treatments for our video & and motion team to bring to life through animation
Set the standard for flightstory’s internal marketing material, brand assets, slides deck and document templates
Own the quality, creativity and delivery of the projects you are overseeing
Contribute to a culture of innovation, teamwork, and collaboration within the rest of the design team

You know how to leverage data and insight to inform design decisions in your work, manage your time, and collaborate well with others. You love bringing new ideas to the table, and are confident in presenting your work directly to clients.
Requirements
5+ years experience in-house or agency in a design role
Experience owning the delivery of full service branding projects from beginning to end
A varied portfolio across both branding & content design
Ability to understand, analyse, and respond to client briefs
Lives and breathes design trends, current technology, pop culture, and social first design
Inspiring collaborator, able to work confidently with others to achieve a goal
