Who we are looking for:

Froehling and Robertson is looking for an Accounting Office Supervisor to manage the day-to-day accounting office processes and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.

What you’ll be doing: 

Specific duties include, but not limited to:

• Oversee accounting process operations, which include, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure the day-to-day accounting functions are operating efficiently and effectively.
• Provide redundancy at all process desks to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Delegate, supervise and review subordinates work to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees, vendors and governmental agencies.
• Develop and maintain filing systems and procedures for record retention, protection and retrieval.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
• Oversee and reconcile payroll tax payments.
• Maintain the established system of internal controls to minimize risk.
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of accounting staff and in conducting performance evaluations.
• Implement training for new hires and identify professional development opportunities for current staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you need to have:

• Five years or more of related experience required.
• Payroll experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience desired.
• Ability to adapt to rapid changes/rapid work environment, manage competing demands.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Recognition and respect for the confidential nature of the work.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
