Job summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) with special expertise in Diabetes/Endocrinology to join our Medical Team. As a GP with expertise in Diabetes/Endocrinology, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive primary care services to patients, with a focus on managing diabetes and/or endocrine disorders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide primary medical care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
• Conduct thorough medical assessments, examinations, and consultations to evaluate patients' health status and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Specialize in the diagnosis and management of diabetes mellitus and other endocrine disorders, including thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, and hormonal imbalances.
• Monitor and manage patients with diabetes, including prescribing medications, insulin therapy, and lifestyle modifications to achieve optimal glycemic control and prevent complications.
• Weight loss and obesity management.
• Perform regular follow-up visits and screenings to monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and education.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, dietitians, and educators, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex medical needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize clinical practice.
• Stay updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in Diabetology and Endocrinology, and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and self-management techniques.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in General Practice/Family Medicine.
• Fellowship or additional training in Diabetology and Endocrinology from a reputable institution (preferred).
• Valid medical license (DHA) to practice as a General Practitioner in Dubai, UAE.
• Proven experience working as a General Practitioner with a focus on Diabetology and/or Endocrinology in a clinical setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diabetes and/or endocrine disorders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-centered care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, lifelong learning, and quality improvement.
• Compassion, empathy, and dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Function as a Diabetes Educator.
• Pump training certificate (a bonus).
• Experience in pumps: installing, monitoring, adjusting (a bonus).
• Experience in CGMs: (e.g. Freestyle, Dexcom, Medtronic.
• Expertise and experience in insulin titration.
• Experience in oral diabetic medication.
• Experience in carb counting.
• Dealing with type 1 diabetes: calculating ICR and adjusting insulin doses.
• Pediatric experience/coverage.
