Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to innovate, win and grow with us in Theale! 

A Product Manager will maximise the value delivered by development and ensuring the delivery meets the customer’s needs. You will be focusing on the Payments and Financial Messaging domain. Working as an integral part of a product delivery pipeline with colleagues from market development, product management, UX, development and dev ops to define and execute on both new product development and managing continuous innovation of in-market products. 

Ideally you will focus on helping to identify promising commercial opportunities, translating business needs into technological design, controlling build-up and delivery, elaborating roadmaps to meet business objectives, and ensuring that Bottomline delivers the best, most innovative solution to meet the market opportunity. Driving new revenue streams and providing customer loyalty and growth is our passion. 

How you’ll contribute: 

• Create product strategy that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI 
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams 
• Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch 
• Analyse market data to make data driven decisions, develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications. 
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, delivery, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organisation. 
• Effectively manage the product launch process 

What will make you successful:

• Seasoned Knowledge of the Corporate Banking and Financial Messaging Industries and the mechanics of major Domestic (ACH, BACs etc…) and International Business Payment products (e.g. SWIFT)  
• Knowledgeable of the operational and service sides of the business, as well as markets, contracting and financials 
• Understanding of ancillary bank technology and products offered to business customers (Cash Management platforms, Receivables, Acquiring etc.) 
• Demonstrated understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle 
• Proven ability to translate business needs for the benefit of Sales and our customers 
• Expertise in GTM, Value Proposition construction and competitive positioning of a product set 

If you have two or more of the skills listed below, we would like to hear from you. 

• Experience working in Fintech or a closely related industry. 
• Proven ability to manage SaaS products, ideally with a continuous delivery model. 
• Working in an Agile environment (SCRUM), ideally familiar with lean start-up principles. 
• Understand, and have experienced, the use of the latest technology to solve these issues in particular SaaS, APIs, Data & Insight, Cash Management, ISO Adoption, Machine Learning, Automation to name but a few. 
• Highly data driven mindset – strong analytical and communication skills 
• Ability to builds cross functional partnerships effectively and navigate in a fast-paced environment.  
• Ability to and experience building strong and effective relationships within an organisation 
• Gains the confidence of others through proven expertise and the ability to communicate it 
• Strong outcome-oriented focus 
• Team oriented, collaborative, highly organised and flexible
