Job Descrption
Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN) is a leader in sourcing, investing in, and managing a wide range of utility-scale renewable energy assets. As we continue to expand our investment base, we are dedicated to building a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve. Since our entry into the renewables market in 2010, OEGEN has achieved remarkable milestones, becoming a leading investor in onshore wind across mainland Europe, the largest investor of solar power in Europe, and recently venturing into offshore wind projects. Currently, we manage a global portfolio of over £6 billion in renewable energy assets. Our operational portfolio consists of more than three hundred large-scale energy-generating companies. We take pride in our wind farms, solar power plants, and upcoming projects in energy storage and hydrogen. To support our ambitious growth plans and long-term ownership of energy assets, we are expanding our team.
The Development Portfolio Management Team is central to OEGEN's investment strategy, overseeing our global interests in renewable energy developers and their project pipelines. This team is key to catalysing new energy projects through platform and pipeline deals, which maximise investment returns and bolster our commitment to a sustainable energy future through the delivery of a proprietary pipeline of renewable projects.
The Development Portfolio Director plays a crucial role in strategic and operational management within this team. Tasked with enhancing the growth and efficiency of our investments in global renewable energy project developments, this role ensures alignment with our strategic objectives and sustainability commitments. The Director oversees the direction and execution of OEGEN's global development platform and pipeline investments, coordinating high-level efforts across various departments. This involves driving innovation in project execution and risk management while maintaining robust stakeholder relations to ensure investment decisions are in sync with market trends and sustainability goals.
