The Platform Operations Team at OEGEN provides critical support across the organisation, developing and operating the systems and processes that underpin the management of our diverse portfolio of corporate investments. This team works across sectors, supporting not only the Development Investment and Portfolio Teams but also Energy Transition, Commercial & Industrial (C&I), and Offshore Wind Teams. Their work is vital for ensuring efficient and effective operations, fostering innovation, and maintaining compliance across all teams.
The Platform Portfolio Manager at OEGEN is pivotal in managing the financial and performance aspects of the company's investment portfolio. This role involves a deep focus on financial structuring, comprehensive project valuation, and performance optimization to ensure that all investments align with OEGEN’s strategic financial goals. The manager will oversee the integration of sophisticated financial planning and control mechanisms, delivering precise analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and drive the financial success of the portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Develop and refine financial models to forecast and analyze business scenarios, supporting strategic financial planning.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate potential investments and enhance asset performance.
  • Design and manage funding strategies to ensure robust financial structuring and control over capital allocation and financial risks.
  • Maintain oversight of financial controls to safeguard the portfolio's financial health and ensure compliance with all obligations.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to evaluate the viability and profitability of projects.
  • Lead efforts to accurately value both potential and existing investments.
  • Produce detailed financial reports for senior management, providing insights into portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain transparency and build trust regarding financial status and investment performance.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to the portfolio.
  • Ensure strict compliance with financial standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing financial team, enhancing skills and professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of financial expertise and accountability across the team.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree in Finance or an MBA highly preferred.
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar financial certification is strongly desired.
  • At least 7 years of experience in financial management, specifically in portfolio management in the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated capability in financial modelling, analysis, and sophisticated investment valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of conducting detailed performance analysis and deriving insights.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in strategic financial planning and execution, including funding strategies and budget management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage and inspire a team focused on financial excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at explaining complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
