Commercial Finance Credit Manager – Part time up to 30 hours a week
What awaits you?
- Line management of 5 associates. Drives local credit team competencies through changes, setting objectives, coaching for better performance, providing the team with a clear sense of direction, managing the activity, improving motivation and communication throughout the business and for improving the quality of the final product and/or service.
- Interpretation of financial information and other KPIs to make prudent decisions balancing risk & reward
- Prepare credit reports with lending recommendation and conditions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Monitor the Early Warning System and take action as appropriate to mitigate our risk
- Manage the relationship of any high-risk dealers which would require regular contact and site visits
- Understanding and interpretation of credit risk & collateral policy and business strategy to ensure that targets are achieved and maintained
What should you bring along?
- Preferably educated to degree standard in a relevant subject and/or accountancy qualification, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Finance & Leasing Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the credit assessment of corporate business and asset finance / secured lending preferred but not essential
- Experience in the motor finance industry would be beneficial
- Ability to interpret complex financial information & summarise concisely, with above-average level of numeracy
- Ability to interpret finance agreements & legal documentation
